On 12 December, a group of students visited Tuen Mun Town Centre for a special treat. They watched a rehearsal of “Musical Teddy Boy in the Gutter” by Spring-Time Experimental Theatre. This was a unique opportunity to see a professional theatre work up close. The students were thrilled to be part of a real creative process.

The musical presents a lively and exciting story. Characters from classic Hong Kong films from the 1960s to the 1990s  find themselves in a future "cultural recycling centre". To survive, they must journey through different time periods. The rehearsal displayed this fantastic trip from the 1960s to the future. Students were fascinated by the detailed fashions, imaginative sets, and creative props from each era.

The show was highly enjoyable for all ages. It brilliantly combines humour, adventure, and memorable pop songs. This fun approach helped students learn about Hong Kong's cultural changes in a very engaging way. They saw how cultural history is both important and entertaining. The performance connected the past to the present in an exciting manner. It was a delightful and enriching day for everyone involved.
