South Korea: Jeju Island Geological & Environmental Geography Expedition

2026-04-10

Over the Easter holiday, our Geography students and Environmental Protection Ambassadors went on an exciting 5-day, 4-night South Korea: Jeju Island Geological & Environmental Geography Expedition.

This special tour allowed students to step outside the classroom and learn in the real world. The group explored the island's amazing natural sights, getting a close-up look at a spectacular volcanic crater, huge lava tubes, basaltic hexagonal columns, dramatic wave-cut platforms, and fascinating erosive rock features.

To see sustainability in action, they also visited the island's renewable energy windmills. Along with their geography studies, the students had a great time experiencing local Korean culture and enjoying the beautiful cherry blossom festival.

Overall, the trip was a huge success, giving our students unforgettable memories and a deeper care for protecting the environment.
