Physics Students Explore Disneyland Through a Scientific Lens

2025-07-07

Learning didn't stop after exams for 50 senior physics students — instead, it moved to one of the happiest and surprisingly scientific places. At Hong Kong Disneyland, students put physics into a real-world context, from experiencing energy conservation on Hyperspace Mountain to exploring sound waves in the Mickey PhilharMagic 4D Concert. They also investigated how fluid pressure powers rides and observed UV decorations around the park.

The experience transformed the theme park into an open-air classroom, where students could see textbook concepts come alive through real-world applications — turning rides, shows, and even queues into unexpected lessons.
