Hong Kong Bird Watching Day 2023

Our bird-watching team participated in a bird race organized by the Hong Kong Bird Watching Society on the Hong Kong Bird Watching Day in November 2023. The competition was conducted on a team basis, with 5 members per team.

We could choose to start and finish the competition anywhere in Hong Kong. Our task was to find, identify, and record as many different species of birds as possible (including migratory birds) within 6 hours, along our own designed competition route. On that day, we visited Ho Sheung Heung and Long Valley in Sheung Shui, Wetland Park and Tsim Bei Tsui in Yuen Long. We recorded 70 species of birds and were awarded the 2nd runner-up in the competition.
