Rule of Law Journey Guided Tour of Landmarks of the Hong Kong Legal Hub

2026-01-16

"On 24th November, 2025, a group of 29 student leaders from our school joined the Rule of Law Journey, an enlightening guided tour of the Hong Kong Legal Hub, organised by the Department of Justice (DOJ).
The group visited the Justice Place (former Central Government Offices) and the Former French Mission Building (former Court of Final Appeal), and learned about the historical significance and architectural beauty of these important legal institutions. Government lawyers gave the student leaders a lecture on Hong Kong’s legal system, and provided rich insights into the building’s role in the administration of justice and its evolution over the years through a guided tour. Our students even had the privilege to visit the former Executive Council Chamber!

The group also participated in the Moot Court, which allowed them to participate in simulated court cases. This interactive case study experience provided the students with a hands-on opportunity to understand courtroom procedures and etiquette.

Throughout the day, our student leaders actively engaged with the government lawyers, asking them meaningful questions and sharing their perspectives. This interaction not only enriched their knowledge but also encouraged a sense of responsibility as leaders within their communities.
This insightful journey fosters law-abidingness and civic responsibility among youth. The school looks forward to organising more such impactful experiences that nurture future leaders."
